How to Get to the Philadelphia Self-Guided Station and Find the Entrance

Our Philadelphia training station is located near Temple University and Temple Hospital, making it easy to reach for healthcare workers, students, and anyone in the nearby hospital district.

To help you recognize the area:

Enter through the glass door marked “1318”.
If the door is locked, check your confirmation email. A lockbox code will be provided.
Use the code to open the lockbox and retrieve the key.
Unlock the door, return the key to the lockbox, and scramble the code to keep it secure.
Once inside, walk straight ahead to the Navy Blue Door.
Open the door and continue down the hallway past the restrooms.
Make a right turn.
You will see the Same Day CPR logo on the office door directly in front of you.

In my 14 years of working in healthcare this was my first time using a CPR service that had no instructor physically present. The first session with BLS went well. The instructions were easy to follow, I received real time feedback from the computer program and I had zero interruptions. The second day I returned for ACLS and was expecting to have the same experience however, in the middle of a CPR cycle I was abruptly startled by a voice of a woman over the camera system. It was completely unexpected, scared me, and threw me way off causing the cycle of CPR to be interrupted completely. When the goal of CPR has always been to minimize interruptions I’d say this was the opposite of that. Had I known there would be discussions via the camera maybe it wouldn’t have been so startling but in the end it truly frustrated me as I was expecting the same controlled environment that I received the day prior. Also, in her instruction I was told to tilt the mannequin head but I feel it was difficult for her to truly visualize that the head was already tilted because she was not actually present. Overall, as a personal preference, I’d much prefer sessions with instructors present in person.
