How to Get to the Dover Self-Guided Station and Find the Entrance

The Bayside CPR training station is located at 955 Forest Street, Dover, Delaware. The office is just off Route 15, at the intersection of Carver Road and Forest Street, in a residential-commercial building on the first floor.

Proceed to the front door, go up the stairs, and follow the Bayside CPR logo with the directional arrow.
Enter the access code provided in your confirmation email on the door keypad.
Once the door unlocks, enter the office and close the door behind you (it will lock automatically after 30 seconds). Straight ahead, you will see your Self-Guided CPR station.

Generally a good experience and felt the material was well presented in the didactic portion. I particularly liked the re-quizzing of material that I was either unsure about or had gotten wrong.

The skills session was a little rough. I failed to understand that the computer was functioning as the "second man" in the two man section. It was a mess as I was performing the skills over the computer, it was talking over itself and nothing was working. Once that part was understood, it went better. That said, the computer was extremely particular in getting the compression wave form right. Too fast, not hard enough, too hard, too slow, no pauses between compressions. I found the only way to get it to acknowledge my pause between compressions was to take my hands off the manikin between every compression. This resulted in a bizarre "flopping" action that I have never seen used in a real code but allowed me to satisfy the computer and pass.

Great experience. This was my first time getting a CPR certification. Required for my radiology program. I chose this route because of the location, the flexibility of times to do the skills portion. There was a lot of communication between emails and texts the day of the help make the process organized and since there was no in person instruction I liked having the messages to make me feel like there was a line of communication if I needed help or had questions. I also liked the walk-thru video so I knew exactly what to expect walking in. Successfully passed. I would use this station again when I need to renew.
